Peec AI alternatives: how to choose, and when to stay with Peec
Eight Peec AI alternatives checked on 8 October 2026: prices, engines, billing units, collection methods, who each suits, and when staying with Peec is right.
The short answer
For a lower entry price or more engines per prompt, look at sirefs (from €29 a month with all seven engines it collects, checked weekly), Otterly.AI (from €29, daily, four engines) or LLMrefs (500 keyword-based prompts for €79, weekly). For an enterprise contract, look at Profound or Scrunch. If you already pay for Semrush or Ahrefs, try their AI modules first. Stay with Peec if you need daily data on every plan, Microsoft Copilot today, or its API, Looker Studio and agency tooling. Whichever you shortlist, ask four questions: what is the billing unit, which engines are included, how is each engine collected, and do the numbers come with sample sizes?
We make sirefs, one of the alternatives below. To keep this fair, every fact about another tool comes from its own website, pricing page or documentation, checked on 8 October 2026 and listed under Sources. Where another tool is the better choice, we say so. Prices are as each pricing page showed them to a visitor in Denmark that day; the currency and VAT treatment can differ where you are. This guide is about choosing against Peec. For the wider market, read our guide to AI visibility tools.
Which Peec AI alternative should you choose?
Start from the reason you're looking:
- sirefs if you want every engine it collects for one price, from €29 a month, with the collection method and a confidence interval on every number. Weekly on Starter, daily from Pro.
- Otterly.AI if you want daily tracking at the lowest entry price, and four engines are enough to start.
- LLMrefs if you think in keywords and want hundreds of tracked prompts for one flat price, refreshed weekly.
- Profound if you're an enterprise team that wants monitoring and marketing agents under one sales-led contract.
- Scrunch if you also want to change how AI agents read your site, and like a published entry price.
- AthenaHQ if you want wide model coverage and content actions, paid in credits per answer.
- Semrush or Ahrefs if you already pay for one and want a first read before buying another tool.
- Peec if daily data on every plan, Microsoft Copilot or its integrations matter more to you than price.
What does Peec AI do, and who is it for?
Peec AI tracks how brands appear in AI answers. You add prompts, the conversational questions buyers ask, and Peec runs them daily on the AI platforms you choose. It reports how often you're mentioned, your position, the sentiment and the sources the answers use.3
How it collects answers. Peec says it uses UI scraping: browser automation that asks each platform through its web interface. For most platforms, that means the platform decides which model to use and whether to search the web, as it would for a logged-out user.3 On the Enterprise plan, the pricing table marks Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral, Meta and a GPT 5 Search model as "API".1
Engines. Starter, Pro and Advanced let you choose three models from ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI. More models, Perplexity among them, are add-ons. Enterprise tracks up to 13 models.1
Pricing and its unit. Peec prices by prompts and active models.1
| Plan | Price a month | Prompts | Models | Countries | Projects | AI answers a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | €85 | 50 | 3 | 1 | 1 | 4,500 |
| Pro | €205 | 150 | 3 | 3 | 2 | 13,500 |
| Advanced | €425 | 350 | 3 | 3 | 5 | 31,500 |
Every plan tracks daily and includes unlimited users. Peec counts one prompt on one model on one day as one AI answer, so 50 prompts on three models over 30 days make 4,500. Annual billing takes 15% off, and an extra model on Starter costs €25 a month on annual billing. Enterprise is priced on request, with up to 13 models, SSO and daily or weekly tracking.1 Agencies buy credits instead: one prompt on one model for one day uses one credit, from €205 a month for 10,000 credits.2
Beyond tracking. Peec checks your robots.txt against more than 40 AI bots, shows which AI crawlers visit your pages from your CDN or server logs, and reports AI referral traffic.1, 6 It also has brand fact-checking, AI shopping and ads tracking, recommended actions and an agent. MCP access is on every plan, the API from Pro and the Looker Studio connector from Advanced.1
Who it suits. Marketing and SEO teams that want daily data on a few chosen engines, and agencies that want pooled credits, pitch projects and client reporting.2
When is staying with Peec the right call?
Stay if any of these matter more to you than price:
- Daily data from the first plan. Every Peec plan runs daily. On sirefs, Free and Starter run weekly.
- Microsoft Copilot or Naver AI today. Peec lists both among the models you can choose on every brand plan.1 sirefs doesn't collect Copilot yet.
- Integrations now. MCP, an API, Looker Studio, shareable dashboards and crawler data from your logs are in place, depending on the plan.
- Agency operations. Pooled credits, pitch projects, client users and one invoice across clients.2
- One tool for more jobs. Shopping, ads, fact-checking and recommended actions sit next to the tracking.
- Your history. Your trend lines stay in Peec. Any new tool starts from zero.
Why do teams look for a Peec alternative?
Usually for one of the reasons below. Each is a question worth putting to any tool, Peec included.
- What is the billing unit? Peec charges for prompts times models, with three models included. Other tools charge per prompt with every engine included (sirefs), per prompt with engines as add-ons (Otterly.AI), per answer in credits (AthenaHQ) or per check (Ahrefs). Price your own prompt list on the engines you need, not the headline plan.
- Which engines are included at your price? Three models can cover ChatGPT and Google's AI answers. If your buyers also use Perplexity, Claude or Grok, price those in.
- How many markets? Peec's Starter covers one country, Pro and Advanced three.1 If you sell in several, check the limit and whether the same prompt in a second market counts twice. In sirefs it does: a prompt is one question in one market.
- How is each engine collected? A logged-out app, Google's results page and a developer API can give different answers to the same question. Ask which method each engine uses, whether every answer is labelled with it, and whether methods are ever mixed in one trend. How sirefs collects answers lists ours.
- Do the numbers come with sample sizes? AI answers vary from run to run, so a rate from a few answers can move on luck alone. Peec's documentation defines visibility as the share of responses that mention you and shows change against the previous period; it doesn't describe sample sizes or confidence intervals.4, 5 Ask any vendor how many answers sit behind a rate and how it decides a change is real. Reading the numbers shows how sirefs does it.
- Does it check your site? Peec checks robots.txt rules and reads crawler logs.6 Otterly.AI, Scrunch, Semrush and sirefs include site audits of different depth.
- What do agencies get? Client workspaces, client logins, white-label reports and pitch projects vary a lot between tools and between plans.
The alternatives, evaluated
Each entry says how the tool differs from Peec, who should pick it, its entry price on 8 October 2026 and how it collects answers. "Not disclosed" means we didn't find the method on the vendor's pricing page, documentation or FAQ.
sirefs
AI visibility monitoring with a GEO audit, made by us at Uneven Bits ApS in Copenhagen.
- How it differs from Peec: every paid plan includes every engine sirefs collects: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Grok. You pay for prompts, not prompts times engines. Every rate shows its sample size and a 95% confidence interval, alerts fire only on changes that pass a significance test, and every answer is labelled with its method. A 26-check GEO audit reads your site the way most AI crawlers do, without JavaScript. Tracking is weekly on Free and Starter and daily on Pro and Agency (Claude and Grok weekly). Microsoft Copilot isn't collected yet.
- Pick it if: you want broad engine coverage on a small budget, you track several markets, or you need numbers you can defend in a meeting.
- Entry price: a free plan with 5 prompts checked weekly on five engines (all but Claude and Grok), for one brand. Starter is €29 a month for 40 prompts weekly on all seven engines; Pro is €99 for 100 prompts daily and three brands; Agency is €249 for 250 prompts and 25 brands. Prices exclude VAT, and new workspaces get 14 days of Starter without a card. See pricing.
- Collection method: disclosed per engine. ChatGPT and Gemini come from the logged-out app through a data vendor (ui); AI Overviews and AI Mode from Google's results page (serp); Claude, Grok and, for now, Perplexity from the provider's API with web search (api). See how we collect answers.
Profound
An enterprise AI visibility and marketing platform with "AI Marketer" agents that research, write and report.
- How it differs from Peec: there's no self-serve brand plan between the free trial and Enterprise, which is priced on request. Enterprise tracks up to nine answer engines and adds agents, paid for in credits. The trial runs 50 prompts daily for seven days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, using a recommended prompt set you can't edit.7
- Pick it if: you're a larger brand that wants monitoring and content agents in one contract, with SSO, SAML and SOC 2.
- Entry price: a free trial, then Enterprise on request. For agencies, each client workspace is an add-on at $399 a month, covering 100 prompts daily on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.7
- Collection method: Profound says it captures answers from the consumer browsing experience rather than from model APIs.8
Otterly.AI
AI search monitoring with a built-in GEO audit.
- How it differs from Peec: a much lower entry price with daily tracking, and Perplexity and Copilot are included from the first plan. Plans hold fewer prompts: 15 on Lite. Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini are paid add-ons on every plan; on Lite they cost €29, €9 and €9 a month. Plans include GEO audits and support for more than 50 countries.9
- Pick it if: you're a solo marketer or small team that wants daily data on a short prompt list.
- Entry price: Lite at €29 a month for 15 prompts, daily, on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot. Standard is €189 for 100 prompts and Premium €489 for 400. Annual billing takes 15% off, and there's a free trial.9
- Collection method: through each platform's public web interface, except Claude, which uses the API. Each prompt is asked from its assigned country.10
Scrunch
AI visibility monitoring plus tools that change how AI agents experience your site.
- How it differs from Peec: a higher entry price, with prompts and a monthly cap on responses. Core includes 125 prompts, 5,000 responses a month, four engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot), one country, five users and five site audits a month. Enterprise adds Claude, Gemini, Meta AI, Google AI Mode and Grok, an API, and Scrunch's Agent Experience Platform.11
- Pick it if: you want to optimise how AI agents read your site, not only measure the answers.
- Entry price: Core at $250 a month, with a seven-day free trial.11
- Collection method: a mix of browser automation and official APIs, chosen per platform. Scrunch doesn't say which platform uses which.12
LLMrefs
AI search tracking built around keywords rather than prompts.
- How it differs from Peec: you add keywords, and LLMrefs generates the conversational prompts behind each one. The single plan includes 500 prompts, every engine it tracks with no add-on fees, more than 50 countries, unlimited projects and team members, CSV export and API access. Every keyword is updated at least once a week.13
- Pick it if: you're an SEO team or agency that works from keyword lists and wants volume across many domains for one price.
- Entry price: €79 a month, marked "limited time only", with a seven-day free trial.13
- Collection method: not disclosed.
AthenaHQ
AI visibility tracking with content optimisation agents, billed in credits.
- How it differs from Peec: you pay per answer: one credit is one AI response. Starter includes 3,600 credits a month across 11 models, including Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral, plus a content optimisation agent. API access and extra credits are paid add-ons, and Starter covers a single region.14
- Pick it if: you want wide model coverage and content actions in one tool, and you're comfortable budgeting in credits.
- Entry price: a free Essential plan with 300 credits on five engines; Starter at $295 a month, or 17% less billed annually.14
- Collection method: not disclosed.
Semrush and Ahrefs, if you already pay for one
- Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit: $99 a month per domain, billed annually, for 25 custom prompts with daily AI rankings, mentions from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity, and a site audit for AI readiness.15
- Ahrefs Brand Radar: custom prompt packages from $50 a month for 2,500 checks, where one prompt on one platform in one location uses one check (a Claude update uses eight). Brand Radar AI, which adds research across Ahrefs' own database of hundreds of millions of prompts, starts at $199 a month. Paid Ahrefs plans include a small daily quota of custom prompts.16, 17
- How they differ from Peec: AI tracking sits next to your SEO data, and you may already have a quota. Prompt allowances at entry are small.
- Pick one if: you're already a customer and want a first read before you buy a dedicated tool.
- Collection method: not disclosed. Ahrefs says it runs prompts through each AI platform and stores the responses, without saying whether that's the app or an API.17

Where is Peec stronger?
- Daily data at entry. Peec Starter collects 4,500 answers a month; sirefs Starter collects about 1,200 (40 prompts on seven engines, weekly). If daily movement on a few engines is what you need, Peec gives you more data at that tier.
- Copilot and Naver AI, available on every brand plan today.1
- Integrations and reporting: MCP, an API, Looker Studio and shareable dashboards.
- Breadth: shopping, ads, fact-checking, crawler logs, AI referrals, recommended actions and an agent.
- Agency operations: pooled credits, pitch projects and client users.2
- Track record. sirefs is new: our first monitoring runs were in October 2026, so it has less history and fewer integrations than Peec.
Where is sirefs stronger?
- Engines for the price. Starter at €29 includes all seven engines sirefs collects; Peec's €85 Starter includes three. Claude and Grok are on every paid sirefs plan; Peec lists them on Enterprise.
- The next tier up. sirefs Pro (€99) collects about 15,900 answers a month: 100 prompts daily on five engines, plus Claude and Grok weekly. Peec Pro (€205) collects 13,500 on three. The engine mixes differ, so compare on the engines you need.
- A free plan that keeps running: 5 prompts weekly, for as long as you like. Peec offers a trial, not a free plan.
- Markets: any of 14 on every plan, against one country on Peec Starter and three on Pro and Advanced.
- The method on every number. Each answer is labelled ui, serp or api, and answers from different methods never share a trend line.
- Statistics you can defend. Every rate shows its sample size and a 95% Wilson interval. A change counts only when a two-proportion test says so, with at least 20 answers on each side and p under 0.05.
- The site audit. 26 checks in five groups, including whether your text is readable without JavaScript and whether your firewall lets AI crawlers through. Peec's crawlability check reads robots.txt rules.6
What doesn't sirefs do yet?
- Microsoft Copilot isn't collected. Our data vendor's Copilot collector hits a sign-in wall. Copilot joins every plan once it works.
- Perplexity comes from its Sonar API for now, labelled api, until the app collector is connected.
- Claude and Grok come from their APIs, because neither app can be read logged out. They're checked weekly on every paid plan.
- No API, MCP, Looker Studio, Slack alerts or white-label client reports yet. All are planned.
- No shopping, ads, crawler-log or referral analytics, and no Naver, DeepSeek or Meta AI.

How do you test an alternative before you switch?
- Pick 20 to 30 prompts from your Peec project: the ones closest to revenue.
- Add them to the new tool in the same markets, and compare only the engines both tools cover.
- Compare like with like. An app answer and an API answer for the same engine aren't the same measurement.
- Wait for enough answers. Compare rates only once each tool has enough answers per engine for its intervals to narrow. Reading the numbers shows how many that takes.
- Read the sources. The pages each tool says the engines cite are your to-do list, whichever tool you keep.
For a first look without signing up, the free check audits your site and asks ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity three buyer questions about your category.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best Peec AI alternative?
It depends on why you're leaving. For a lower price and more engines per prompt, look at sirefs or Otterly.AI. For many prompts tracked as keywords, LLMrefs. For an enterprise contract, Profound or Scrunch. If you already use Semrush or Ahrefs, try their AI modules first. If you need daily data on every plan, Microsoft Copilot or Peec's integrations, staying with Peec is usually the better choice.
How much does Peec AI cost?
On 8 October 2026, Peec's pricing page showed Starter at €85 a month (50 prompts), Pro at €205 (150 prompts) and Advanced at €425 (350 prompts), each tracking three models daily, with Enterprise on request. Annual billing takes 15% off, and extra models are add-ons.1 Agency plans are sold in credits, from €205 a month.2
Is there a free alternative to Peec AI?
sirefs has a free plan that keeps running: 5 prompts checked weekly on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini and Perplexity, for one brand. AthenaHQ's free Essential plan includes 300 credits.14 Profound, Scrunch, LLMrefs and Otterly.AI offer free trials.7, 9, 11, 13
Does Peec AI scrape the apps or use APIs?
Peec's documentation says it uses UI scraping: browser automation through each platform's web interface, the way a logged-out user sees it.3 Its pricing table marks some Enterprise models, Claude and Grok among them, as API.1 If the method matters to you, ask which one each model you pay for uses.
Does Peec AI track Perplexity, Claude and Grok?
Perplexity is an add-on model on Peec's Starter, Pro and Advanced plans. Claude and Grok are listed on Enterprise, marked API.1 sirefs includes all three on every paid plan: Claude and Grok through their APIs, and Perplexity through its Sonar API until our app collector is connected.
Which Peec AI alternative suits agencies?
Compare client workspaces, client logins and reporting. Peec's agency plans have pooled credits, pitch projects and client users.2 Profound sells client workspaces at $399 a month each.7 Otterly.AI runs an Agency Partner programme on its Standard and Premium plans,9 and LLMrefs includes unlimited projects.13 sirefs Agency (€249 a month) covers 25 brands and 250 prompts, but client logins and white-label reports are still planned.
Do I keep my history if I switch?
Not in the new tool: tracking starts on the day you add your prompts. Peec offers CSV exports on every plan,1 so export your prompt list and the data you want to keep before you cancel. Running both tools side by side for a while lets you compare them on the same prompts.
