Getting started with sirefs

View as Markdown

sirefs tracks what AI answer engines say about your brand. You add a brand and the questions your buyers ask; sirefs checks them on every engine in your plan and shows who gets mentioned, ranked and cited.

How do I set up my first project?

  1. Create an account at https://app.sirefs.com/register with your email or Google. Every new workspace starts with 14 days of Starter, with no card.
  2. Enter your domain. sirefs reads your home page and sitemap and suggests your brand name and aliases, your category, the competitors to track, a market, and 25 to 50 prompts across buyer intents ("best X", "X for Y", "X vs Y", "X alternative", "X pricing").
  3. Edit the suggestions. Remove prompts that don't fit, add your own, and check the competitors and the aliases each brand goes by. Aliases matter: they're how sirefs recognises a brand in an answer.
  4. Confirm. The first run starts at once on every engine in your plan, and results appear as the engines answer.

Not ready to sign up? The free check runs the GEO audit on your site and asks three engines three questions, with no account. To see the dashboard first, open the live demo: sirefs tracking one of our own products, Asktopus, with real answers collected weekly.

What do I see after the first run?

  • Overview: visibility and share of voice against your competitors, per engine and market, with the trend and its confidence band.
  • Prompts: a table with a cell per engine (mentioned, rank, cited), filterable by topic, intent and market. Open any cell to read the full answer with your brand and competitors highlighted and the citations listed.
  • Competitors: share of voice over time, head to head per prompt, and suggested competitors: brands the engines keep naming that you don't track yet.
  • Sources: the domains and pages the engines cite most for your prompts, split into your own, your competitors' and third parties. This is your list of pages to write and sources to get onto.
  • GEO audit: your site's score and fixes at your plan's level. See the GEO audit.

How often are prompts checked?

At your plan's frequency: weekly on Free and Starter, daily on Pro and Agency (with Claude and Grok weekly). Checks don't all run at once. Each one runs at a random moment within the hour it falls due, so samples spread across the day and the week. See how we collect answers.

Which emails will I get?

  • Weekly digest (Starter and up, and during the trial): every Monday, one email per project with visibility per engine this week against last week, with intervals. Only changes that pass a significance test are called changes. It also lists new suggested competitors and the most cited sources.
  • Alerts (Starter and up): an email when your visibility on an engine changes significantly (the last 7 days against the 7 before) or when a new competitor is named in 5 or more answers in a week. At most one alert email per project per day.

You can switch either off per project.
